The OpenText T8u USB 3.0 Forensic Bridge Kit is designed for secure, hardware-based write blocking of USB mass storage devices. It supports forensic imaging of USB 3.0 devices through a SuperSpeed USB 3.0 host computer connection, as well as USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices that conform to the mass storage bulk-only specification.
With a high-performance architecture, the T8u helps streamline forensic workflows when imaging flash drives and multi-terabyte hard drives. It is intended for use with modern forensic imaging software and supports read-only acquisition processes.
In controlled real-world configurations, the T8u has demonstrated forensic data transfer rates in excess of 300 MB/second while calculating MD5 and SHA-1 hashes.
The integrated backlit display provides access to bridge and device information, including device status, logical unit selection, and bridge details. Front panel controls make it easy to review information during acquisition.
